In the 70’s Halston, Bill Dugan and Nancy North, amongst other friends and colleagues, would spend time together in Montauk at the Warhol Compound. Halston would sit on his Mies van der Rohe recliner with a legal pad and sketch his ideas. Some of them were developed and produced in-house. This would all done in the atmosphere of fun, laughter and good friends close by.

Bill Dugan was executive design assistant to Halston Enterprises in New York City from 1972 to 1984
Nancy North (was married to Bill Dugan, which whom she met through Halston) was one of the original “Halstonettes” and muses to Halston. These drawings are from their private collection.
